I Can't Even Watch....

....well, by 'watching' I'm talking about using the Gameday option on MLB.com. It's kinda cool - like listening to the game on an am radio back in the day. So this Gameday will show you every pitch. give you tons of stats about each pitch, and even give you a hint on what the 'hit' is doing (out, run...). All of this LIVE. They show you a little diamond with all of the names in the right spots. Also, IF someone gets on base, they show you what base they're on...and how they advance.

I'm so cheap, THIS is how I watch the Cards. Since I live on the east coast, the networks only show the damn Yankees. So here I sit, in front of my computer 'watching' the game.
Top of the 4th playing the Phillies. That home run. Crap. Even 'watching' the game this way makes me sick to my stomach.

We want some pitchers - not belly itchers....!

HELP!

I made a bet with a co-worker (Cubs Fan) that whichever team comes out on top Cardinals or Cubs the loser has to wear the other teams t-shirt or hat or whatever. I am urging all Cardinal fans - its time to do the official Cardinal DANCE! We need some big red love sent down to St. Louis for this weekend! It's crucial now -

It is really painful to watch games like tonight!!!!!

Tonight's GAME

WOW! Who had the ball out in the outfield? Im listening to the post game show on TV and that is all they are talking about....Rick Ankiel missed 2 big catches?! And even while watching the game - "Is something wrong with Ankiel" - they replayed those missed catches over and over and over again. There was more going on with the game than 2 missed catches. Was it pitching - was it hitting - ????????????? You be the judge?

Holy Cow!

....am I allowed to say that on this site? Well, given that the Cards just LOST to the Cubbies today, I think I'm allowed a little slip. Man oh man, going into the weekend we were 1/2 game out and now? Talk about a slap in the face!

HI! I'm Anissa's sister and she has graciously let me post alongside with her. I live in the Washington DC area. Anissa and I tend to "watch" Cards games together over the phone. During the playoff games last year, we had a rule that we wouldn't talk during the game. (for fear of jinxing...trust us, we did it once!) Needless to say, there were alot of LATE NIGHTS last year. But thankfully, not large phone bills. (thanks for being IN the network 'Nissa!). So, you'll have to put up with both of us talking some baseball. I hope you enjoy!

Nicknames

Have you given any Cardinal players nicknames? Karl and I have - and here they are...
*Chris Duncan - Chewbacca
*Kip Wells - Skippity Kippity
*Mike Moroth - Moroth Balls
*Braden Looper - (when pitching well) Super Looper - (when stinking) Pooper Looper
*Brendan Ryan - Sock Monkey
*Albert Pujols - Squatter (thanks to Mike F.)
*Rick Ankeil - Ricky Moonbeam
*Adam Kennedy - Mr. President (he looks like Bill Pullman)

Kip Wells

So I was wondering if the Kip Wells experiment has gone horribly awry this season?!! Hopefully, the Cardinals brain trust will see fit not to retain his services for next season! Good God, can we talk? AND while I'm on my little rant - what is up with those damn socks! That's right I said socks. Brendan Ryan - dude - the socks should stay on the inside....AND Chris Duncan - the goal today was to catch the ball and not dive after them after they fly past you!! Maybe you guys should get together and play a good game of 500!! The practice will help.
